From your first inquiry, we are ready to guide you through the portrait planning process. The reservation process is easy and seamless; after you’ve looked over our Welcome Guide which contains everything you might want to know about us, full pricing, and frequently asked questions, you’ll receive your contract and invoice all in one email link making it quick and easy to complete even while out running errands or during school drop off.

Immediately once you reserve your session, you’ll receive access to view our elaborate Studio Wardrobe online to start thinking about the styles and colors that you love most. While most of our clients do borrow from the Wardrobe, we will also send you our What to Wear inspiration board on Pinterest, full of ideas that will photograph best with our photography style.

When you enter our online scheduling page to choose a session date, you’ll also have the opportunity to schedule your planning consultation. This is a great chance for us to meet in person, at the studio, before your session. You can view all of our artwork samples and options to start thinking about what you’d like to do with the images from your session, as well as try on as many outfits as you’d like from the Studio Wardrobe!

Shortly after reserving your session, you’ll receive our Questionnaire which gives you the chance to organize your thoughts and vision for your portraits. This is the perfect time to tell us about anything you like or don’t like in portraits of yourself, what makes your kiddos laugh, or if there are any specific requests for your session. As your session date gets closer, you’ll receive more emails from us regarding your wardrobe choices, tips for preparing for your session, what to bring, and what to expect. If you’re interested in having your hair and make up professionally done, we will coordinate this service for you through some of the best hair and makeup artists in Northeast Ohio who we work with regularly. Not only does having professional hair and makeup add the WOW factor to your images, but there’s no need to worry about getting yourself ready while also feeding a newborn, getting your children ready, etc. We will guide you every step of the way, so that you don’t have to worry about everything coming together perfectly.

Speaking of the Studio Wardrobe, have we mentioned that it’s huge? We have a large selection (over 50!) of carefully curated gowns for moms sizes 0-16, shirts for dads size small-extra large, and the most adorable outfits you’ve ever seen for children up to size 5. We are always adding new options to keep it fresh and high-end. If you prefer to wear your own clothing, we’ll help guide you through choosing outfits for your family with style boards so that you can see how everything will look grouped together. For outdoor sessions, wardrobe items can either be picked up the morning of your session or we will provide a private changing tent for you to use on location.

Once the day of your session has arrived, we will either meet at the studio or selected outdoor location. For our newborn sessions, a light breakfast of muffins and pastries is provided. We always have snacks and a fridge full of cold beverages (water, soda, Starbucks, and 100% juice), as well as a Keurig to make yourself a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Your children will be busy in our play area while you’re changing into your outfit or feeding the baby! You will be photographed by Erin, while our assistant Kelly is always on hand to get even the most shy kiddos laughing and watch for fly away hairs or lipstick smudges. Your session will be stress-free and fun, allowing your love for your family to take center stage. Our studio is located in the heart of Downtown Cuyahoga Falls, so be sure to visit the many shops and restaurants nearby after your session!

After your session, you’ll receive a sneak peek within days – often the next morning! Your images will be lovingly retouched, and your printed proofs will be ordered. We’ll meet back at the studio 2-3 weeks after your session date for your design and ordering appointment. At this appointment, you’ll see your images as printed proofs. Unlike most photographers who make you purchase all of your images upfront with your session, we prefer for our clients to view their images before making any purchases. Together, we’ll make stacks of your favorites and go over the best artwork options for your family. We’ll either design your heirloom album, create digital mock-ups of wall galleries on your very own wall for custom framing, choose announcements, matted prints, or digital files and more. There is no minimum purchase required; choose only what you love. Most of our clients choose to invest $1,500-2,500 for their portraits between artwork and digital files, however with the custom nature of our experience we are able to serve a wide range of price points. We also offer interest free payment plans! We only source top of the line products; all museum and archival quality, solid wood frames, and fine art prints from the very best professional labs available. After this appointment, you’ll receive an online gallery of the images you’ve purchased, to share with your family and friends or download your digital files.
